Paramount Pictures has unmasked the trailer for the latest instalment in the “Scary Movie” franchise.

Scary Movie 6” reunites the Wayans Bros., Marlon, Shawn and Keenen, for the first time in 18 years to write a new instalment in the horror parody series. It’s the first movie in the comedy series since “Scary Movie 5” in 2013. The brothers also produce the movie with Rick Alvarez, and Michael Tiddes is directing.

The trailer parodied many popular horror movies from the last several years, including recent hits like “Sinners,” “Weapons,” “The Substance” and Netflix’s “Wednesday.” It starts out with a spoof of the Ghostface subway scene from “Scream 6” with many costumed characters — including the dancing robot killer “Megan.” Marlon and Shawn Wayans reunite with Regina Hall and Anna Faris to take on Ghostface, but mainly to poke fun at “Get Out,” “Smile,” “Terrifier,” “Longlegs” and more.

Other returning “Scary Movie” cast members include Lochlyn Monroe, Dave Sheridan, Jon Abrahams, Cheri Oteri and Chris Elliott. Newcomers to the satirical franchise include the brothers’ nephew Damon Wayans Jr., their sister Kim Wayans, “SNL” alum Heidi Gardner, Olivia Rose Keegan, Savannah Lee Nassif, Cameron Scott Roberts, Sydney Park, Gregg Wayans, Ruby Snowber and Benny Zielke.

The original “Scary Movie” from 2000 was one of the highest-grossing, R-rated horror movies of all time. The film opened at $42.5 million at the box office, which was the biggest debut for an R-rated horror movie and a Black director at that time. The Wayans Bros. developed the “Scary Movie” film franchise, with Keenen writing and directing the first two films. Marlon and Shawn wrote and starred in the first two films.

Miramax is producing, with Jonathan Glickman, Alexandra Loewy and Thom Zadra serving as executive producers. As part of its first look deal with Miramax,  Paramount Pictures will release the horror film worldwide on June 12.
