Lionsgate has appointed Amanda Kozlowski as president of worldwide marketing for the motion picture group.
She will report to the motion picture group chair Adam Fogelson, with whom Kozlowski has worked closely over the past several years as executive strategist and interim head of marketing.
During her tenure as interim marketing chief, Kozlowski led the global campaign for “The Housemaid,” “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” and “The Long Walk.” Kozlowski most recently worked on “Michael,” which is already a box office sensation with $183 million domestically and $423 million globally after just 12 days of release. Lionsgate’s upcoming releases include “Power Ballad” with Paul Rudd and Nick Jonas and “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping.”
In her new position, Kozlowski will continue to help shape the studio’s brand and franchise strategy, including the studio’s tentpole properties such as “John Wick,” “Saw” and “The Hunger Games,” as well as newer franchises like “The Housemaid.” Kozlowski will also work with the motion picture group’s president Erin Westerman to shepherd films from development through release.
Alongside Kozlowski’s appointment, Nasim Cambron and Jack Teed have each been elevated to new roles, reporting to Kozlowski. Cambron has been promoted to executive VP of worldwide marketing and publicity, while Teed has been upped to executive VP of worldwide marketing and creative advertising. Cambron will continue to report to Fogelson on studio communications.
“When I arrived at Lionsgate, I recognised Amanda’s talent and leadership abilities, and have relied on her ever since as a trusted advisor. I could not be more proud to see her officially step into this role. She has more than earned it,” said Fogelson. “Amanda brings a totally fresh, modern, and distinctive approach to marketing that is uniquely suited for this moment. Her passion for film, keen intelligence, and sharp strategic instincts, combined with her storytelling ability and her deeply collaborative spirit, have earned her the trust of filmmakers, staff, and her peers.”
An 18-year veteran of the studio, Kozlowski’s experience at Lionsgate encompasses strategy, distribution, marketing, data and analytics. She previously led the marketing department for the studio’s limited-release theatrical and multi-platform business as well as home entertainment. Kozlowski joined Lionsgate in 2008 as a junior brand marketing manager in home entertainment and rose to lead the department 10 years later. Before Lionsgate, she held marketing roles at A.D.D. Marketing + Advertising and at Film Independent. Prior to being named interim Head of Marketing, she most recently served as chief of staff to Fogelson.
