Stan has released a documentary on adult content creator Bonnie Blue, exploring her polarising business model and the cultural debate it provokes.
“1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story” follows Blue, aka Tia Billinger, over a six-month period, going beyond the headlines, clickbait, and ragebait.
Directed by Victoria Silver, it explores what life’s really like for Blue — not only her rise in the adult industry but also the criticism that has dogged her along the way.
Blue has gained worldwide attention and made millions with her controversial adult content. She first grabbed attention with her homemade “bonk me for free and let me film it” signs, having sex with “freshers” and “spring-breakers”, or just-turned 18-year-olds, and uploading the footage for her paid subscribers.
She then announced that she’d slept with 1057 men in 12 hours, sparking debate of if she was dangerously pandering to male fantasies or being an empowered sex-positive entrepreneur.
Her sex stunts with non-professionals have made her one of the world’s most successful Only Fans creators, and she claims to be raking in over $2 million a month.
Last year, she had her Australian visa cancelled after publishing a call-out for “barely legal 18-year-olds” to film videos with her during Schoolies week on Queensland’s Gold Coast. It was cancelled on the grounds of allegations that she intended to work. The cancellation came after an online petition received over 20,000 signatures.
Soon after, she also faced deportation from Fiji alongside fellow adult content creator Annie Knight, for trying to do a similar stunt at the Schoolies event on the island. According to Fiji’s Home Affairs and Immigration Minister Pio Tikoduadua, they had “breached the conditions” of their stay and the process to deport them would be carried out “promptly and in accordance with the law”.
