The first trailer for Season 2 of Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This” has been released. The second season will premiere all episodes on Oct. 23.
Following the events of Season 1, the show will follow Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody) as they begin to navigate their newfound relationship. After Joanne, an agnostic podcaster, meets Noah, an unconventional rabbi, in the first season, the two dance around the idea of a potential relationship despite all of their differences. Season 2 will follow their relationship as they begin to grow closer after Joanne admitted, towards the end of the first season, that she is not fully ready to convert.
During this year’s Televerse festival, showrunner and creator Erin Foster elaborated on what will unfold during the next stage of Joanne and Noah’s relationship in Season 2. “Everyone’s past the threshold where you ask if you and your partner are going to dinner with each other’s families or if you are going to cohabitate with one another,” she said.
The second season will not only explore Joanne and Noah’s relationship, but offer more insight into Sasha (Timothy Simons) and Esther’s (Jackie Tohn) long-lasting marriage.
“Nobody Wants This” stars Bell, Brody, Simons, Tohns and Justine Lupe. Additional cast members of Season 2 include Leighton Meester, Arian Moayed, Miles Fowler and Alex Karpovsky.
In addition to Foster, Jenni Konner (“Girls”) and Bruce Eric Kaplan (“Girls,” “Six Feet Under”) have joined the series as showrunners and executive producers.
