Stray Kids have reached a new career high, scoring their seventh No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 with “Karma.” With this latest triumph, the powerhouse K pop group now holds the record for the most No. 1 albums on the chart this century (surpassing industry giants like BTS, Linkin Park, and Dave Matthews Band).

The set earned 313,000 album units in the United States in the week ending Aug. 28, according to Luminate. The total is the third-biggest week, by units, of 2025 among all albums, as well as the year’s second-largest sales week.

The 11-track project was introduced by the lead single “Ceremony” and, like every track on the album, was crafted by the group’s in-house production trio, 3RACHA. Impressively, all seven of Stray Kids’ entries on the albums chart have debuted at No. 1, starting with “Oddinary” in 2022. When “Hop” topped the chart in 2024, they made history as the first act ever to debut at No. 1 with their first six albums in the chart’s 69-year history.

The surge comes on the heels of the film’s sing-along edition hitting both theaters and Netflix, as well as the long-awaited arrival of the soundtrack on CD. A broader CD rollout is set for Sept. 5, likely fueling even more momentum.

The set’s leading single, “Golden,” leads the Hot 100 for a third week, with Saja Boys’ “Your Idol” and “Soda Pop” holding at their respective slots at Nos. 4 and 5, and “How It’s Done” pushing moving up to No. 9

As for the rest of the albums chart, Laufey scores her first top 10 with the No. 4 arrival of “A Matter of Time.” With 99,000 equivalent album units earned, the album is her highest-selling yet thanks to its availability across eight vinyl and three CD variants (each with one signed version) and a cassette. Laufey will soon head out on a North American tour comprised of 26 stops and starting on Sept. 15 in Orlando, Fla.

Deftones land their seventh top 10 with the No. 5 entrance of “Private Music.” Scoring 87,000 equivalent album units earned, “Private Music” earns the rock band their best week by units yet. BigXthaPlug notches his highest-charting album (47,000 units in its first week) with the No. 7 debut of “I Hope You’re Happy.” The set features collaborations with Darius Rucker, Jelly Roll, Ink, Tucker Wetmore, Luke Combs and Thomas Rhett.

Elsewhere, Tyler, The Creator’s “Cherry Bomb” re-enters the chart at No. 6 following a 10th anniversary reissue. The 2015 record earned 52,000 equivalent album units during the week, with 51,000 credited to album sales (the reissue featured a total of three vinyl variants, a CD and three deluxe box sets).
