Danielle Vasinova has been cast in “The Madison,” Taylor Sheridan’s latest addition to the ever-expanding “Yellowstone” universe.
The Emmy Award-nominated actor will take on a starring role in “The Madison,” portraying Kestrel Harris, an Indigenous woman married to a Montana rancher. The character lives with her family on their ranch, and Vasinova’s casting is expected to bring both authenticity and emotional complexity to the storyline.
Her addition to the cast marks a unique milestone for the franchise: Vasinova is the only actor to appear in both “The Madison” and “1923.” In the second season of “1923,” she played Ata Waipa, a Comanche woman who witnesses a tragedy within her tribe.
Fans have speculated what Danielle Vasinova’s dual roles may signal for the narrative. Could this be a subtle nod toward an intergenerational storyline—or something even more fantastical? For now, the implications remain under wraps.

Set in Montana’s Madison River Valley, “The Madison” follows a New York City family navigating grief after a tragic loss in the rugged West. As they struggle to adapt to their new surroundings, they encounter cultural clashes, evolving relationships and the raw intensity of frontier life. In Sheridan’s signature style, the series is expected to explore themes of resilience, legacy, and redemption.
“I’m incredibly honoured to join ‘The Madison’ and bring Kestrel Harris to life,” Vasinova said. “Taylor Sheridan has created such a rich, immersive world, and I’m excited to explore this character’s journey within the ‘Yellowstone’ universe.”
Joining Vasinova in the ensemble cast are Michelle Pfeiffer, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Kevin Zegers and others. With its blend of Western grit, emotional depth and sweeping landscapes, “The Madison” is poised to become the next major installment in the “Yellowstone” franchise. Filming is currently underway in Montana and Texas, with a premiere expected later this year.
