The People vs Robodebt
Simon Morris/SBS

SBS On Demand is shining a spotlight on one of Australia’s biggest political scandals in September 2025, courtesy of three-part docudrama “The People vs Robodebt.” The series features a number of people who fought back against the automated welfare compliance system, with interviewees sharing their stories about battling a setup that chased debts many didn’t owe.

The Australian premiere of the sport-focused “Dreaming Big” is another key documentary arrival, charting 13 young Indigenous athletes in boxing, surfing, soccer, karate, both car and motorbike racing, and more across six episodes.

All three seasons of Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi‘s acclaimed Oklahoma-set “Reservation Dogs,” the Steve Carell– and Domhnall Gleeson-starring thriller series “The Patient,” British crime drama “Code of Silence,” Finland’s “Reindeer Mafia” and “Accidentally Famous'” take on Italian pop band 883 are also on the lineup.
