Fresh off her recognition on the Variety and Gold House 8 APIs Up Next in Entertainment list, “Severance” standout Dichen Lachman has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.
Lachman has earned critical acclaim and strong Emmy buzz this year for her technically-dazzling and emotionally-charged dual roles as “Ms. Casey” and “Gemma” in the Apple TV+ Peabody Award-winning phenomenon “Severance.”
She enters this year’s Emmy race as a breakout contender for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, with her performance earning universal critical acclaim. For her work alongside the cast on the first season of “Severance,” Lachman was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
Season 2 afforded Lachman the opportunity to expand on the backstory for Gemma and Ms. Casey (and about 20 other “innies”. “I felt very fortunate that I got to go deeply into the backstory of Gemma because … obviously things are changing now, but that hasn’t always been the case. You don’t get to always play a fully fleshed-out human being,” Lachman told Variety.
Beyond “Severance,” Lachman is known to global audiences for her roles in “Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes” and “Jurassic World: Dominion,” reprising the latter role in the animated series “Jurassic World: Chaos Theory.”
Lachman’s diverse body of work also includes standout performances in “Altered Carbon,” “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Raya and the Last Dragon,” “Animal Kingdom,” “Aquamarine” and “Too Late.”
