The Season 3 premiere of “The Bear” reached 5.4 million views in its first four days of streaming, according to Disney.

That marks not only the best performance ever for an FX premiere on Hulu, but the most-watched season premiere for any scripted series on Hulu. With unscripted series included, “The Bear” Season 3 is Hulu’s third-biggest season premiere of all time. (Note: a view is calculated by dividing the total time a title was watched by its runtime.)

Additionally, Disney says this puts Season 3 of “The Bear” at 24% more views than the Season 2 premiere achieved in the same amount of time. That’s a second consecutive season of growth for “The Bear,” which reached surprise word-of-mouth success in Season 1 and grew in viewership by 70% with Season 2.

The 5.4 million total accounts for viewership on Hulu as well as Hulu on Disney+ in the U.S., and on Disney+ in international territories where the episode was available, though the episode is not yet available in some territories. Disney says that Hulu on Disney+ gave the season a “significant boost,” and that it achieved the biggest Hulu on Disney+ premiere since the bundle launched on March 27.

Season 3 follows Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and the rest of The Bear staff as they wade through the early days after opening the restaurant. Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Matty Matheson, Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon also star.

“The Bear” was created by Christopher Storer, who showruns with Joanna Calo. Both serve as executive producers alongside Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matheson and Hiro Murai. Courtney Storer is co-executive producer and culinary producer. FX Productions is the studio.
