Somebody Feed Phil” has been renewed for an eighth season at Netflix.

The Emmy-nominated food travel series, which is among the streamer’s longest-running unscripted shows, debuted its seventh season March 1, featuring the “Everybody Loves Raymond” creator eating his way around Mumbai, Washington, D.C., Kyoto, Iceland, Dubai, Orlando, Taipei and Scotland.

The first season of “Somebody Feed Phil” debuted in January 2018 as the followup to Rosenthal’s PBS food travel series, “I’ll Have What Phil’s Having.”

No release date has been set for the Season 8 “Somebody Feed Phil” episodes, but Netflix has announced that the show’s catchy theme tune from Lake Street Dive, aptly titled “Somebody Feed Phil,” will be available for streaming on all platforms Oct. 4.

“Somebody Feed Phil” is executive produced by Emmy, James Beard Award, and Critics Choice Award-winner Rosenthal, his brother Rich Rosenthal and John Bedolis on behalf of Lucky Bastards, as well as Christopher Collins and Lydia Tenaglia on behalf of a494. The series has received two Emmy nominations, been nominated for a 2024 Critics Choice Real TV Award, won a 2022 Critics Choice Real TV Award for “Best Travel/Adventure Show,” and Rosenthal received the “Male Star of The Year” award in 2021 from Critics Choice Real TV Awards. “Somebody Feed Phil” also received a 2022 James Beard Award nomination for “Visual Media—Long Form.”

Rosenthal published a series companion book, “Somebody Feed Phil: The Book,” in October 2022 and a released children’s book with his daughter, Lily, called “Just Try It: A Phil and Lil Book, in March.
