‘Missing Persons Investigation’ to Premiere on Nine on August 7

“Missing Persons Investigation” will premiere on Channel 9 and 9Now after “The Block” on Monday, Aug. 7.

The show was created with the support of the Australian Federal Police National Missing Persons Coordination Centre, with major production investment from Screen Australia in association with Screen Queensland.

It will go behind-the-scenes with investigators across the country as they are assigned to a missing persons case, and will show everything from the initial panicked phone call to the minute-by-minute investigation as they search for leads, including CCTV footage and witness interviews.

Nine said the series will give viewers exclusive access to the “epic searches, groundbreaking forensic investigations and painstaking hunts for clues”, with some leading to “extraordinary happiness, while others will end in heartbreak or an ongoing search for answers”.

The series is narrated by Australian actress Caroline Craig, who has previously starred in police and crime dramas including “Blue Heelers” and “Underbelly”. It was produced by Southern Pictures and Orange Entertainment Co..

The series was first announced in 2021. At the time, Alex West, Screen Australia’s head of documentary, saidS Screen Australia is proud to help bring these important stories to audiences.

“This bold documentary will explore the complex and harrowing events surrounding missing persons, and the lives of those impacted,” West added.
