“The Real Love Boat” has revealed the four personalities who will front the Australian iteration of the reality dating show.

TV personality and host Darren McMullen will front the show. Most recently, McMullen has appeared on Channel 9’s “Celebrity Apprentice Australia” as a contestant, however he has previously acted as host for “The Voice Australia” and “The Voice Kids”.

In “The Real Love Boat”, he will be charged with guiding the ship’s singles “through the perils of modern dating”, Channel 10 said.

McMullen said he’s pumped to be part of the program, which is produced by Eureka Productions in association with Buster Productions.

“My first time on a ship and what better way to kick this off than cruising around the Mediterranean this summer,” he said. “This is one of those experiences that you really have to pinch yourself and can’t believe your luck. I feel incredibly blessed and I’m looking forward to seeing the romance blossom for our singles.”

Meanwhile, Hannah Ferrier, who previously performed as “Below Deck’s” chief stewardess, will act as cruise director for “The Real Love Boat”. She will manage hospitality and social events onboard.

“After more than a decade at sea in the Mediterranean, I am so excited to join ‘The Real Love Boat’ and help all our amazing passengers find love,” she said. “I’m going to be watching them very closely and helping them every step of the way on their journeys to find their perfect match.”

“Studio 10’s” roving reporter, Daniel Doody, will also be on board as head of entertainment. He will be in charge of creating memorable experiences which foster the emotional connections between the contestants.

He said it’s amazing to be part of the program.

“Sailing along the beautiful Mediterranean with our singles onboard finding love is exciting and new. Let the fun times begin,” he said.

The boat being used for the program is Princess Cruises’ Regal Princess, captained by Paolo Arrigo. He said he will keep an eye on what has been dubbed the ‘Cupid Crew’ to ensure they stay on course.

“As the custodians of the original and beloved ‘Love Boat’ TV series, it is an honour to participate in a new and contemporary rendition of the show and help our Australian guests find love like the the series,” he said.

“It is also a wonderful opportunity to introduce Australian viewers to cruising and show why it’s one of the most-loved holidays on offer.”

“The Real Love Boat” will screen on Channel 10 and 10 Play later this year. Eureka’s Chris Culvenor, Paul Franklin, Emma Lamb and Wes Dening will serve as executive producers.
