“The Masked Singer Australia” has started teasing which characters will appear in the upcoming season.
New promos for the show have introduced audiences to ‘Mirrorball’, ‘Zombie’ and ‘Thong’.
Each character has its own teaser which is running now.
The characters and their costumes come from Tim Chappel, the Oscar, BAFTA and AFI-winning costume designer.
Network 10 said for this season of the shiny floor format, celebrities will be from Australia and around the world.
The network also provided some cryptic clues about each masked performer.
“Zombie joins us from beyond the grave,” it said. “Typically, zombies are dead and slow, but rest assured our Zombie will put on a lively performance. It’s a no brainer.”
On Mirrorball, 10 said: “Mirrorball is ready to spin their way onto “The Masked Singer Australia” stage – but will they reflect the celeb under the mask.”
And on Thong: “And move over Pavlova, because there’s a new Aussie icon stepping up this season. The iconic double plugger, Thong. Will they flip or will they flop?”
This year, “The Masked Singer Australia” will be fronted by Abbie Chatfield, Chrissie Swan, Mel B and Dave Hughes with Osher Gunsberg returning as host.
Previous winners of the series include Cody Simpson, Bonnie Anderson and Anastacia.
