The reboot of a popular 1990s Australian TV show and the return of a beloved animation are among the highlights coming to Netflix in September.

On September 5th, season six of “Rick and Morty” arrives, and fans will undoubtedly be eager to dive back into the wacky mind of Dan Harmon’s characters again. After the past five chaotic seasons, it will be difficult to top what’s come before, but Adult Swim clearly believes it can be done: it recently ordered a mammoth 70 further episodes of the sci-fi sitcom, which means there’s a lot more wild adventuring to come.

Despite a rather misleading title, Netflix will be hoping “Dated & Related” can take advantage of the current absence of “Love Island” on the reality television front. Premiering on September 2nd, the new series follows people trying to date and find love with their sibling alongside them.

“Having the person who knows you better than anyone should help you navigate the tricky world of dating. But will they act as the ultimate wingman and help you find love? Or scupper your plans and call you out on all your bullsh*t? Either way it might just be Awkward. As. Hell,” is how the official description sells it.

And on September 14th, the highly-anticipated reboot of “Heartbreak High” will hit the streaming platform. The original teen drama, which premiered in 1994 and ran for nine years, has been given a modern revamp for the Gen Z era.

The reboot revolves around a new set of teens at a Sydney school, all trying to navigate life, love, sex and, yes, heartbreak. Netflix will be hoping it has a potential rival to Euphoria on its hands.
