Chrissie Swan’s new role at the Nova Network has been revealed.

She will take on a new afternoon/ early drive shift across the country, heard on the Nova Network from January 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Currently, the “Kate, Tim and Joel” show, featuring Kate Ritchie, Tim Blackwell and Joel Creasey, occupies the 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. national slot on the Nova Network.

Swan came to national prominence on “Big Brother” Season 3 in 2003, where she was runner up to Reggie Bird.

She subsequently forged a career across radio and television, including as co-host of the Vega 91.5 breakfast show alongside Ian ‘Dicko’ Dickson and Dave O’Neil. She’s also previously been part of the “3PM Pick-Up” show across ARN’s Mix Network (now Kiis) and hosted the Mix 101.1 breakfast show alongside Jane Hall.

In 2015, it was announced she would join comedian Sam Pang and footballer turned broadcaster Jonathan ‘Browny’ Brown to form the “Chrissie, Sam and Browny” show on Nova 100 in 2016.

The trio recently announced they would be finishing up at the end of the year.

Peter Charlton, CEO of Nova Entertainment, said Swan is a highly respected broadcaster and one of Australia’s most-loved personalities.

“Her engaging and down to Earth style has seen her connect with listeners over her impressive radio career, the last seven years of which were part of Nova 100’s award-winning breakfast show,” he said.

“The 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. timeslot is important to both listeners and advertisers, with a highly engaged audience often on the school run. Chrissie has really broad appeal and we can’t wait to share her charismatic broadcasting style with a national audience in this marquee day part.”

Swan added: “It was a dream come true to be part of Nova’s Melbourne breakfast show and to connect with our listeners. I’ve achieved so much professionally and personally over the past seven years, and I’m thrilled to take on this new opportunity to embrace a new audience right across the country in this brand-new time slot.”

Swan is also the host of “Would I Lie To You? Australia” and a judge on “The Masked Singer Australia”, both on Network 1o.

“The Chrissie Swan Show” will kick off in January, 2023.
