6PR breakfast will be helmed by Steve ‘Millsy’ Mills and Karl Langdon from Monday, Nov. 21.

The duo are taking over from Gareth Parker who is moving into a news director role for Nine News.

The two new breakfast hosts are already with Nine Radio’s 6PR, with Mills moving across from the afternoons slot. Langdon, meanwhile, comes from “Wide World of Sports”.

Mills has been with the station for over 18 years, and said he’s excited to return to the early morning slot.

“I’m excited to be back on “Breakfast” with my good mate Karl, waking up Perth,” he said.

“Life can be challenging for many at present, but our focus will be providing inspiration to start everyone’s day on the right foot.

“Throw in some laughs and the latest news, and 6PR Brekky with us will definitely get Perth talking.”

Langdon, meanwhile, has been involved with 6PR as a broadcaster and sports commentator for over 27 years. He said audiences should get ready for the unexpected in 2023.

“I’m looking forward to setting the early wake-up call to work alongside Millsy. I’ve admired and respected him since the moment he joined 6PR and to work alongside him will be fun,” he said.

Emily White, content manager at the station, said there will be no better way to wake up and start the day in Perth.

“These two loveable larrikins will keep you across everything that’s happening in Perth: the latest news, traffic, sport and weather, plus your favourite segments like the “Rumour File” and “$1,000 Minute” will continue,” she said.

6PR said an announcement about the new afternoons host would be made in due course.
