Several flagship series continue on Stan this month, chief among them “Better Call Saul”. Now in its sixth and final season, the Breaking Bad sequel is clearly intent on concluding in style.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are confirmed to be reprising their roles as Walter White and Jessie Pinkman respectively, finally satisfying the unceasing clamour from fans. Four more episodes of season six will drop on Stan in May, with part two of “Better Call Saul”‘s final season arriving in July and August.
After debuting last month, limited series “Gaslit” continues to unspool its intense historical storyline throughout May. The political thriller looks back at the Watergate scandal (a scandal that arguably seems quaint by today’s turbulent standards), focusing on several untold stories, including key whistleblowers.
Julia Roberts, one of the few major cinema stars to decline Prestige TV’s advances until very recently, leads the cast as Martha Mitchell, a wealthy socialite and wife to Richard Nixon’s loyal Attorney General, John N. Mitchell (played by Sean Penn).
Continuing with political thrillers, Kathryn Bigelow’s acclaimed 2012 film “Zero Dark Thirty” arrives on Stan on May 3rd. Starring recent Oscar winner Jessica Chastain in one of her breakout roles, the film dramatised the lengthy manhunt for Osama bin Laden following the September 11 attacks.
