A “Pitch Perfect” spinoff series and a film about the high-stakes world of poker starring Russell Crowe are coming to Stan this November.
On November 24th, all episodes of “Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin” premiere. Based on the hugely successful “Pitch Perfect” film franchise, the new series sees Adam Devine reprise his role as Bumper Allen from the first two films.
In the spinoff, the wannabe singer moves to Germany to revive his music career after one of his songs becomes a big hit in Berlin (it worked for David Hasselhoff after all). “Bumper in Berlin” also stars Sarah Hyland (“Modern Family”) and Jameela Jamil (“The Good Place”), so there should be enough comedy talent involved to overcome the slight premise.
On November 22nd, the Stan Original Film “Poker Face” comes to the streaming platform. Starring Russell Crowe – who’s also on directorial duties – the film also features Liam Hemsworth and RZA in a strong cast.
Crowe plays a tech billionaire and gambler who offers his friends the chance to win more money than they’ve ever dreamed of. If they want to play, however, they’ll have to give up the one thing they’ve spent their lives trying to keep – their secrets. As the game unfolds, his friends will discover what’s really at stake.
