It’s all about Disney+ Day on the streaming platform in September, with plenty of promising new titles on the way.
On September 8th, the annual Disney+ Day celebrates the best streaming offerings on Disney+ and Hulu, and this year brings lots of huge releases.
“Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi’s Return” will take fans inside the making of “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, which saw Ewan mcGregor and Hayden Christensen memorably return to their respective classic roles as the titular Jedi and Darth Vader/Anakin Skywalker. The documentary features the cast and crew reflecting on the journey to telling a new story with iconic “Star Wars” characters.
Disney+ Day sees the arrival of another behind-the-scenes documentary in the form of “Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of Thor: Love and Thunder”, which features cast interviews and unseen footage from Taika Waititi’s blockbuster. The actual “Thor: Love and Thunder” will make it to the streaming platform on the same day.
September 8th will also feature the premiere of Robert Zemeckis’ curious live-action adaptation of “Pinocchio”, starring Tom Hanks as Geppetto.
