“Below Deck” star Nathan Gallagher was arrested on domestic violence charges in Sydney last December following an alleged assault involving a 29-year-old woman, according to a New South Wales police memo obtained by Rolling Stone.

Gallagher was arrested on December 27th after police alleged he assaulted the woman at an apartment complex in the Sydney area the previous day.

The “Below Deck Mediterranean” star was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally choking a person without consent, and common assault, according to NSW Police.

No serious injuries were reported and Gallagher was later granted conditional bail.

It is currently unclear how Gallagher pleaded to the charges. He had not responded to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment at the time of publication.

While the woman was not named in the police memorandum, a court case that seems to correspond with the timeline of the alleged offence names Gallagher as the subject of an Apprehended Violence Application filed on behalf of Gael Cameron, his fellow “Below Deck” cast member and the mother of his young son.

A hearing in the matter is scheduled for September 1st. Cameron also did not immediately respond to Rolling Stone‘s request for comment.

The pair is currently appearing in the 11th season of the franchise, which premiered on June 8th, 2026 after being filmed in Croatia last summer. The season has followed Gallagher as he balances his responsibilities as bosun aboard the mega-yacht Akira One with his efforts to be present for Cameron and their newborn son, staying ashore in nearby Dubrovnik.

Rolling Stone has contacted a representative from Bravo for comment, but they have not yet responded to the request.
