The supporting lineup for Jim Jefferies biggest Australian comedy shows is here – and it does not disappoint.
Jefferies is bringing his acclaimed “Son of a Carpenter” tour across the country this July and August, appearing in Sydney, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Hobart, Geelong, Wollongong, Canberra, and more towns and cities (see full dates below).
A rotating blockbuster lineup of homegrown comedy heavyweights will join him across the 26 shows – handpicked to match his legendary raw wit and razor-sharp humour. Fans will be delighted by the likes of Mel Buttle, Mickey D, Chris Wainhouse, Corey White, and Lindsay Webb across the dates.
“I’m bringing the cream of the Aussie comedy crop, and some great mates of mine with me out to open for me on the Australian tour,” Jefferies said. “This lot bring gut busting laughs. I’m excited to be working with them!”
Ahead of his homecoming tour, Jefferies appeared on the “Rolling Stone Uncut” podcast, where he revealed his preference for playing headline shows over random comedy festivals.
“To be honest, I like performing in front of my fans,” he said. “My comedy has gotten to a stage now where I can start referencing old jokes of mine, or I can reference my parents, my brothers, or an ex-girlfriend, or something, and people sort of can follow that. My shows are almost serialised now, you know?
“On this tour, there are three venues where 10,000 people will be coming.”
