Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has today announced the appointment of Rohan Lund as its new Managing Director and CEO.
The news comes after the departure of Jeff Howard in February, following the company’s merger with Seven West Media.
Having joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director this month, Lund will transition to the top role from May 1st.
“The Board is pleased to appoint Rohan as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company,” Chairman Heith Mackay-Cruise said.
“Rohan brings deep media experience, digital and technology‑enabled transformation capability, and values‑driven leadership skills. He has led complex organisations through significant change, while maintaining a strong focus on culture, trust and long‑term value creation. The Board is looking forward to working with Rohan to achieve our strategic objectives.”
Lund most previously worked as Group CEO of the NRMA from 2016-2025. Prior to that, he served in senior executive leadership roles at a number of high-profile companies, including COO at Foxtel, Group COO at Seven West Media, Yahoo!7’s founding CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at Singtel Optus.
“Southern Cross Media Group is one of Australia’s most important media businesses, with great talent, content and impressive scale and reach across television, audio, digital and publishing,” Lund added.
