Jennifer Garner is teaming up with “Blockers” director Kay Cannon on “One Attempt Remaining,” a comedy about an ex-couple who finds out that the cryptocurrency they won on a wild night on a cruise is now worth millions. Netflix will release the film. Garner is no stranger to the streamer, having starred in the company’s “Family Switch” and “Yes Day.”

In the film, after discovering the windfall, the former couple realize they’ve forgotten the password. With only three days left before the account expires, they must retrace their steps that night, not just to find the password to their fortune, but also to discover why they fell in love in the first place. Cannon wrote the script with Joe Boothe and Alexa Alemanni.

Garner is best known for her work on ABC’s “Alias,” as well as her film appearances in “Juno,” “Love, Simon,” “Peppermint,” “The Adam Project,” “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” and “13 Going on 30.” She will next appear in Peacock’s “The Five-Star Weekend” alongside Chloe Sevigny and Regina Hall. Garner will produce “One Attempt Remaining” with 21 Laps’ Shawn Levy and Dan Levine, as well as Nicole King for Linden Productions.

Cannon created, wrote and produced the Netflix comedy-drama series “Girlboss” and also directed “Cinderella,” a retelling of the fairy tale with Camila Cabello and Billy Porter.

Garner is repped by Linden Entertainment, CAA, and attorneys Jason Sloane and Harris Hartman of Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. Cannon is repped by WME, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller.
