Prime Video’s streaming series sequel to “Top End Wedding” is set to land on the platform come Friday, September 12, with the Australian premiere taking over Hoyts Entertainment Quarter last night in Sydney.
On Tuesday, September 9, cast members Miranda Tapsell, Gwilym Lee, Shari Sebbins, Elaine Crombie, Huw Higginson, Tracy Mann, Ursula Youvich, Guy Simon and Gladys-May Kelly all attended alongside a slew of Australian media personalities.

The eight-part series picks up after the events of “Top End Wedding,” seeing Miranda Tapsell and Gwilym Lee returning to their roles as Lauren and Ned. After last visiting the NT to tie the knot, the pair returns home again after Lauren’s sister Ronelle (Shari Sebbens) dies in a car accident, where they discover they’re to be the guardians for her daughter Taya (Gladys-May Kelly).
Produced by Goalpost Pictures and debuting on Friday, September 12, 2025 in Australia and New Zealand, “Top End Bub” also sees Huw Higginson and Ursula Yovich return as Lauren’s parents. Elaine Crombie, Rob Collins and Tracy Mann are among the familiar faces from the film, while Brooke Satchwell, Guy Simon and Clarence Ryan join the cast.
The series was created, written, and executive-produced by Miranda Tapsell and Joshua Tyler and produced by Goalpost Pictures. Goalpost Pictures’ Rosemary Blight serves as Executive Producer, and Christian Van Vuuren and Shari Sebbens direct the series. “Top End Bub” is supported by Screen Australia, Screen Territory, and the South Australian Film Corporation. The series will launch on Prime Video in Australia and New Zealand and is distributed internationally by ZDF Studios.
