Filming has begun in Samoa for the 12th season of “Australian Survivor,” with Network 10 confirming David Genat, known as the ‘Golden God’, will take on hosting duties.
Genat will commentate on every challenge and tribal council as contestants compete for the title of Sole Survivor in “Australian Survivor: Redemption.”
David Genat is widely regarded as one of the game’s greatest players. He first appeared on Australian Survivor: Champions vs Contenders in 2019, before returning to win Australian Survivor: All Stars the following year. He also played in “Survivor: Australia vs The World,” where he was considered the biggest threat by fellow tribemates.
Now stepping into the role of host, Genat will oversee gameplay, deliver his trademark one-liners, and crown the next Sole Survivor.
“I love Australian Survivor. It truly is the greatest game on earth, so getting to come back as host after playing three times is such an honour,” Genat said. “But Survivor is not about me; it’s about the incredible players who put everything on the line to outwit, outplay, and outlast. I am pumped for the fans to meet the new crop of Survivors next season.”
