Urzila Carlson is set to return to New Zealand with her ‘You Don’t Say’ comedy tour in late 2025, bringing her characteristic cheeky wit to three major venues across the country.
The multi-award-winning South African-New Zealander, who has become one of the biggest comedy stars in both Australia and New Zealand, will begin her tour on November 28 at The Civic Theatre in Auckland. The tour will continue with performances at the Wellington Opera House on December 5, before concluding at Christchurch Town Hall on December 7.
Fresh from selling out Melbourne’s Palais Theatre, Carlson will also be heading west with a brand-new hour of quick-fire banter and classic Kiwi charm, taking the the stage at Perth HPC on Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30.
Carlson’s fans know the deal – whether she’s ranting about everyday annoyances or spinning a story that somehow ends in tears of laughter, she’s one of the most reliably funny comics around. From Netflix specials to panel show domination, she’s built a career on telling it like it is – and this new show doesn’t mess with a good formula.
Speaking about the upcoming shows, Carlson described the tour as “a show born out of sarcasm and storytelling from the mind of a woman who might be slightly out of her mind,” adding, “I cannot wait to tour this show and bring it to your ears!”
The announcement follows Carlson’s successful run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, where she was awarded the People’s Choice Award for the most popular show of the festival.
Tickets for the New Zealand tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, May 30 at 11am local time. Mastercard holders will have early access to tickets during a presale starting Wednesday, May 28 at 10am and ending Friday, May 30 at 10am. My Live Nation members can also secure tickets during a pre-sale beginning Thursday, May 29 at 10am until Friday, May 30 at 10am.
2025 has already been a standout year for Carlson, who starred in the Netflix romantic comedy “Kinda Pregnant” alongside Amy Schumer and Will Forte, produced by Adam Sandler. The film achieved remarkable success, being viewed 25.1 million times in its first week and becoming the most-watched title on Netflix from February 3 to February 10.
