Celeste Barber has announced more Australian dates for her ‘Backup Dancer’ tour due to demand.

Following a sold out run in 2024/2025 throughout Australia, Europe and the UK, the local comic has announced nine regional dates as well as encore performances in Sydney and Melbourne.

The tour will start in Melbourne this August, followed by shows in Ballarat, Bega, Western Sydney, Sydney, Wollongong, Tamworth, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, Toowoomba and Caloundra.

“I’ve been around the world with this show but nothing beats performing at home,” Barber said.

“I have so much history with so many of the regional places I’m bringing ‘Backup Dancer’ to in August and September and I can’t wait to get out there and see my girls all over the country.”

Outside of her live shows, Barber will next appear in comedy-drama TV series, Codependent, which she also has written and produced.

The show “follows marriage counsellor Darcy (Barber), a total romantic who lives in a beautiful coastal Australian town and is fully entrenched in her tight-knit community. But Darcy is forced to face her own relationship demons when her husband leaves her for someone new – untangling 15 years’ worth of an intertwined life while continuing to share empathetic nods with her troubled clients.”

Tickets to all shows go on sale on Thursday, May 22nd. Click here for more details.
