First up is “Planet City: Live”, a speculative fiction experience from acclaimed designer and director Liam Young. The film envisions a future where humanity moves into a single, hyper-dense metropolis, allowing the rest of the planet to rewild. Young will provide live narration, with a haunting score performed live by Forest Swords.
“Planet City: Live” will take place at the City Recital Hall on Tuesday, June 10th at 7pm.
The second event is the NSW premiere of “Ellis Park”, the documentary debut of “Snowtown” director Justin Kurzel. Following the screening, the film’s subject – renowned musician Warren Ellis – will take the stage for a conversation and a special solo performance at “Ellis Park: An Evening With Warren Ellis”.
“Ellis Park: An Evening with Warren Ellis” will be held at the City Recital Hall on Sunday, June 8th at 7pm. The NSW premiere screening of “Ellis Park” will take place earlier that day at the State Theatre at 4pm.
