Tyler Hilton and Kate Voegele have put their hands up to star in the reboot of “One Tree Hill”.

The pair, who played musicians Chris Keller and Mia Catalano in the original teen drama, told Variety Australia in a new interview that they’d like to see where their characters are now.

“We have no information about the reboot, but we’re so just obviously excited about celebrating this show and the music from the show. So we are all in if a reboot ever should come along, we’re here for it,” Voegele said.

Their characters never interacted on the show, as Hilton appeared in Seasons 2, 3 and 9, while Voegele was in “One Tree Hill” from Season 5 to 8. However, Voegele and Hilton would love to see Mia and Chris finally have a showdown.

“I hope [they’re] doing something together. We never got to do stuff together,” Hilton said. Voegele agreed and noted their duo is “compelling” for fans.

“I do think Mia and Chris would collaborate and probably fight a lot, and there would be a lot of good drama that would come out of that,” she said.

The “One Tree Hill” stars are still close friends with the rest of the cast, and Hilton mentioned there’s no “ego” involved when it comes to looking back on the show.

“We love the [‘One Tree Hill’] conventions. We have so much fun doing it, we’re leaning into it. And there’s no — which sometimes happens with young actors or whatever — like, no ego about like, ‘I don’t want to talk about that. That was then. This is now.’ Everyone’s so embracing of the show,” Hilton explained.

Voegele started working on “One Tree Hill” when she was just 19, and for her, it felt like a college experience. “We honestly keep in touch with just about everyone,” she added. “I just love every single person I ever worked with on the show.”

The musicians are currently touring the world with their The Music Of One Tree Hill tour, and it has proved extremely popular in Australia. There was such demand in Sydney and Melbourne that the pair had to add extra shows, and the original Adelaide venue has now been upgraded.

“It’s really cool. It feels like a convention that we’re bringing around the world… a way for us to bring a little bit [of Wilmington] to everywhere around the world,” Hilton said.

“Yeah, and get to tell the story kind of through our lens,” Voegele added.
