The “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” Australia jungle was tense on Sunday night, as singer Deni Hines and “Married at First Sight” alum “Cyclone” Cyrell Paule clashed over Hines’ music career.

The confrontation began when Paule questioned Hines’ credentials as a performer, prompting the ARIA Award winning singer to defend her decades-long career and notable achievements. “I’m a singer”, a clearly annoyed Hines snapped at Paule, who hit back: “Can you sing though? Like, like, really, really sing?”

“Do I need to hit you in the head with a spoon right now? I’ve sold 55,000 records. I guess I can sing,’” she quipped, while cooking with a wooden spoon. She sarcastically added: “An ARIA Award winner, 55,000 records. No, I can’t sing.”

Paule asked Hines to sing something, which only irritated her more. “No. Get out of here and listen to my shit, no,” Hines said.

Later, in her confessional, Paule doubled down on her comments, name-dropping Hines mother, former “Australian Idol” judge Marcia Hines.

“I think she really did get offended that I did not know who she was,” she said. “And I don’t know what the issue is, because a lot of people came in here not knowing who anyone was. It’s not my fault that your mum’s a bit more remembered than you are. It’s not my fault that your mum’s the one I remember.”

Later in the episode, the pair clashed again after Paule said Hines “might correct me again if I say something”. Hines teased, calling Paule feisty, to which she replied: “I am very feisty. I am very, very feisty.”

Hines replied: “55 year old, you’re 36. Watch yourself!”, to which Cyrell snapped back: “I know, you have a lifetime of knowledge but yet you ain’t acting like a mature lady, eh? I said it, I said it, girl. You’re boring me. Please don’t talk to me.”

The pair eventually made up when Hines extended an olive branch to Paule by walking over and offering a hug.
