“Criminal Minds: Evolution” has been renewed for Season 20 ahead of the Season 19 premiere, Variety has learned.
Paramount has also set the Season 19 premiere date, with the newest season of the long-running drama series set to premiere on May 28 on Paramount+, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter. Season 20 of the show will debut in 2027.

The show follows the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU), who are described as “a team of profilers tasked with analyzing and capturing the country’s most dangerous criminals, before they strike again.” “Evolution” picks up after the events of the original “Criminal Minds,” which aired on CBS for 15 seasons.
Season 19 stars Joe Mantegna, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Zach Gilford, and RJ Hatanaka with Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster.
The season also features an expansive list of guest stars, which includes: Connor Storrie (“Heated Rivalry”), Justin Kirk (“Angels in America”), Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”), Clark Gregg (“Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”), Paul F. Tompkins (“Bojack Horseman”), Cress Williams (“Black Lightning”), Kofi Siriboe (“Queen Sugar”), Lyndon Smith (“Step Sisters”), Richard Cabral (“Mayans MC”), Jeri Ryan (“Star Trek: Voyager”), Rob Yang (“The Menu”), Nicholas Gonzalez (“The Good Doctor”), Inny Clemons (“Judging Amy”), Nicole Pacent (“Westworld”), Dash Mihok (“Ray Donovan”), Joseph Cross (“Big Little Lies”), and Cara Jade Myers (“Killers of the Flower Moon”).
The series is produced by 20th Television and CBS Studios. Erica Messer serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Breen Frazier, Chris Barbour, Glenn Kershaw, and Mark Gordon also executive producing.
