Chanel has unveiled its latest global campaign starring Margot Robbie, with a reimagining of Kylie Minogue’s 2001 hit “Come Into My World.”

The campaign is for the fashion house’s CHANEL 25 handbag, and has been directed by acclaimed filmmaker Michel Gondry – who also directed the original video more than two decades ago. In a full-circle moment, Minogue herself makes a special appearance in the film, marking 25 years since the release of the track.

Set against a looping, kaleidoscopic cityscape, the film follows Robbie as she moves through repeated moments and mirrored environments, echoing Gondry’s signature practical effects style. The result is a meticulously constructed short film that blurs fashion, music and cinema, which Chanel has increasingly leaned into with its campaign storytelling in recent years.

The CHANEL 25 handbag, positioned as a contemporary evolution of the house’s classic design, sits at the centre of the narrative, woven into the film’s choreography and visual rhythm. Robbie, a long-time ambassador for Chanel, brings a lightness and cinematic familiarity to the role, continuing her ongoing relationship with the brand following high-profile appearances across red carpets and previous campaigns.

The inclusion of Minogue, in particular, adds an intergenerational layer to the campaign, combining early-2000s pop iconography with contemporary luxury branding – and reinforcing the enduring influence of Gondry’s original visual concept.
