Chris Hemsworth Is a Master Thief After $11 Million in ‘Crime 101’ Trailer

Chris Hemsworth Is Master Thief After

Chris Hemsworth is a typically dashing jewel thief in the new trailer for “Crime 101,” which, aside from its starry cast, thus far looks to be a typical crime caper. The Los Angeles-set film has all the makings of a cat-and-mouse classic. Hemsworth is the untouchable master thief after his last big score, Mark Ruffalo is the dogged officer on his tail, Halle Berry is the semi-innocent woman caught in the middle, and Barry Keoghan is the young upstart who wants the score for themselves.

As the official logline puts it, “set against the sun-bleached grit of Los Angeles, Crime 101 weaves the tale of an elusive jewel thief (Chris Hemsworth) whose string of heists along the 101 freeway have mystified police. When he eyes the score of a lifetime, his path crosses that of a disillusioned insurance broker (Halle Berry) who is facing her own crossroads.”

“Convinced he has found a pattern, a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) is closing in, raising the stakes even higher. As the heist approaches, the line between hunter and hunted begins to blur, and all three are faced with life-defining choices–and the realisation that there can be no turning back.”

The film is adapted from the acclaimed novella of the same name, written by Don Winslow, author of “The Power of the Dog,” “The Cartel” and “Savages”, and directed by Bart Layton (“American Animals,” “The Imposter”). Rounding out the supporting cast are Monica Barbaro (“A Complete Unknown”), Corey Hawkins (“Last Voyage of The Demeter”), Jennifer Jason Leigh (“Fargo”), and Nick Nolte (“Die My Love”).

“Crime 101” is set to release in theatres on February 12. Watch the trailer below.
