Popular late-night talk series, “The Daily Show,” is set to hit Australian TV screens this week.

The Emmy and Peabody Award-winning show hosted by Jon Stewart will be available to stream on BINGE starting Wednesday April 2nd, with new episodes from Season 30 dropping every Wednesday to Saturday at 8:30pm.

The satirical news program boasts an impressive lineup alongside Stewart, including Ronny Chieng – who moved to New York in 2015 from Melbourne – as well as Desi Lydic, Jordan Klepper and Michael Kosta.

Stewart, who hosted the show from 1999-2015, returned last year following the departure of Trevor Noah in 2022.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing this iconic late-night TV program to our customers for a comedic take on current events that we know BINGE subscribers will enjoy,” Stephanie Quinn, Executive Director – Content & Commercial Partnerships, Foxtel Group, said.

“We’re proud to work with our partners at Paramount to expand our impressive line-up of premium content from world-class drama, buzzy reality to exciting live sport and everything in between.”

The news comes in the same week of the official Australian launch of Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming platform Max, which was celebrated by a number of HBO stars heading down under.

Actors from season two of “The Last of Us,” including Bella Ramsey (Ellie), Gabriel Luna (Tommy), Kaitlyn Dever (Abby), Isabela Merced (Dina), Young Mazino (Jesse), and Jeffrey Wright (Isaac), joined “The White Lotus” season three cast members Patrick Schwarzenegger (Saxon), Leslie Bibb (Kate), Natasha Rothwell (Belinda) and New Zealand-born Morgana O’Reilly (Pam) came to Sydney this week for the official launch.

The launch of Max brings together an expansive catalogue of Warner Bros. Discovery content under one roof, offering Australian subscribers access to HBO original programming, Warner Bros. films, the DC Universe, “Harry Potter” Max Originals, Discovery Channel content, Cartoon Network favourites, and lifestyle offerings from HGTV, Food Network and more.
