A lawyer for Lil Nas X has confirmed the Grammy-winning artist is currently “in treatment” following his arrest for battery of a police officer.

Lil Nas X, whose real name is Montero Hill, was charged for allegedly attacking police officers and resisting arrest while wandering semi-nude in Los Angeles on Aug. 21. Lawyers for Hill appeared in court on Monday, and spoke with press outside of the L.A. courthouse.

“Obviously, you heard the treatment word,” lawyer Drew Findling said in a video captured by Rolling Stone’s Nancy Dillon.

“We’re doing what is best for Montero from a personal standpoint and a professional standpoint, but most importantly for his well-being. He is surrounded by an amazing family, an amazing team of people that care about him and love him. We’re just addressing those issues. It’s really as simple as that. He’s had a great life, he’ll continue to have a great life. This is a bump that he’s gonna get over.”

Though his lawyers did not disclose what kind of treatment their client was receiving, Hill was initially taken to a hospital upon his arrest on suspicion of a potential overdose. LAPD responded to calls and complaints that a nude man was acting erratically on the street that morning.

Hill also addressed the arrest on his public social media accounts; “Your girl is going to be OK y’all. OK? She’s going to be alright, she’s going to be alright,” he assured fans. “Shit. That was fucking terrifying. That was terrifying! That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl is going to be alright.”

Hill pleaded not guilty to four felony charges and posted a $75,000 bail upon his arrest. His next court date is set for Nov. 18.
