A man died from a fall during an Oasis concert Saturday at Wembley Stadium in London, the BBC reports.

According to the Metropolitan Police, medics and officers at the venue responded to alerts of a man in his 40s who had sustained injuries at 22:19 BST. He was pronounced dead at the scene after being “found with injuries consistent with a fall”, according to a rep from the police.

Oasis told the BBC that they were “shocked and saddened” by the news of the death, adding, “Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”

Responding to a packed stadium, police said they “believe it is likely a number of people witnessed the incident, or may knowingly or unknowingly have caught it on mobile phone video footage.” Law enforcement told the outlet they will pass the investigation to the Health & Safety Executive in the coming days, but added that anyone who witnessed the incident should come forward.

Oasis, which is in the midst of its highly publicized Live ’25 Reunion Tour after a 16-year hiatus, was performing one of seven sold-out shows planned for the London venue on Saturday. Wembley Stadium can hold up to 90,000 fans.

Wembley Stadium released a statement to the BBC following the incident.

“Despite their efforts, the fan very sadly died. Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers,” it said, adding that the remainder of the scheduled shows will be unaffected by the incident.
