British comedian Alan Davies is returning to Australia for his first Down Under tour in a decade.

The acclaimed actor, writer and TV personality will kick off his ‘Think Ahead’ tour at the Riverside Theatre in Perth on November 25, followed by another 11 shows that will take him through to December.

In a video posted to social media alongside the tour announcement, Davies said he can “hardly believe” he’s returning to Australia, adding the “My show is called ‘Think Ahead,’ which is something I’m doing all the time now because of age.”

“I cannot wait. I love Australia—it’s full of Australians, they laugh a lot … I’m looking forward to it,” Davies said.

Davies burst onto the comedy scene in 1991 when he was named Time Out’s Best Young Comic, just three years after he first started honing his craft.

He has since become a staple of British television, with his most well known projects including his run as lead character on “Jonathon Creek” from 1997-2016, and as a permanent panelist on “QI” since 2003.

Despite a decade passing since his last appearance in Australia, Davies hasn’t completely dodged the country and most recently featured as a guest on “Have You Been Paying Attention?” last year.

A Live Nation pre-sale commences Thursday, May 1 at 10am, concluding on Friday May 2, at 9am before general public tickets go on sale on Friday, May 2 at 10am.
