 Estonian Roots, UK Storytelling Triumph

Kulp, who moved to the UK six years ago to go to high school, is from a small town in Estonia. Having always had an eye on a media-related job, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in London. Kulp has used her humor and personal experience to cultivate a following. Her stories include living abroad and how she made a living out of a hobby so she could inspire others to fall in love with the English language.

Kulp has been a content creator for over 12 years, starting at age 10, and has had success for the last five years due to her hard work and dedication. Her passion for community and connecting with like-minded individuals drives her success, and she enjoys sharing her story with others, underscoring her educational strengths.

The Art of Staying Relevant

Kulp has experienced challenges in her profession, primarily staying relevant in a highly competitive environment. Content creators must reinvent themselves to remain relevant, which can take a toll.

When Kulp started posting, she posted short-form content, with an average rate of 600 daily videos, for her first two to three years, using original scripts and ideas. She initially thought posting content daily was the only way to remain relevant but learned through experience and talking to her fans that it is better to skip days for fans to anticipate future content.

Another vital lesson from content creation is that creators must be themselves and film what they love. Otherwise, mental health suffers from a need to go viral rather than being authentic.

Redefining Language Learning

Kulp is considered a thought leader because of her unique approach to the English language and has gained recognition for the way she teaches English through humor. She created her methodology for teaching the English language to explain idioms and phrases using funny scenarios while taking the words seriously. This contrast helps the brain form a connection to the material and retain the information better because of the visual stimulation. This innovative style led her to be a judge at the 2025 Shorty Awards, an annual awards ceremony that recognizes the most innovative and influential work in digital and social media.

Katerina has also been a guest of the European Film Academy for two consecutive years, a unique honor where she had the chance to interview some of the biggest stars in the industry, including Isabella Rossellini and Ralph Fiennes.
