BBC Studios has today announced the formal integration of its media and streaming business in Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) and Asia into a single APAC region.

This new division will be under the leadership of Robi Stanton, who has been appointed to the expanded role of President, APAC Media & Streaming. Stanton, who joined BBC Studios earlier this year, has “played a pivotal role in reshaping the business across Asia Pacific,” according to a press release.

The move “reflects BBC Studios’ commitment to streamlining its global operations and accelerating growth across key international markets,” the press release adds.

Marcus Arthur, CEO, BBC Studios Global Channels, Streaming and UKTV, says: “Bringing BBC Studios’ media and streaming business in ANZ and Asia together under Robi’s leadership is a strategic step forward. Robi brings clarity, energy, and a sharp commercial lens to the region, and I’m confident this alignment will unlock new opportunities for growth and collaboration across APAC.”

Stanton adds: “BBC Studios has an extraordinary portfolio and a talented team across Asia Pacific. I’m excited to lead this next chapter as we build a more connected and agile business, focused on delivering world-class content and experiences to audiences across the region.”

Prior to joining her current company in March of this year, Stanton held a range of senior leadership roles at CNN International, Warner Bros. Discovery and Turner International in both Australia and Singapore. She was responsible for overall business management, helping to drive significant business transformation and leading teams across content, commercial, marketing, digital and operations.

BBC Studios is the main commercial arm of BBC Commercial Ltd and generated revenues of £2.1 billion in the last year and profits of over £200 million for a fourth consecutive year.
