Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and More Avengers Stars Assemble to Endorse Kamala Harris

Mark Ruffalo, aka Hulk, gathered a group of his fellow Avengers to endorse Kamala Harris for President on Thursday.

“Don’t sit this one out. It’s the one where we will lose big: Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, Affordable Care Act, Social Security, and as of today, life saving vaccines. This shit is real and it’s going to come for you,” Ruffalo wrote on Twitter.

He posted a video that starts out with Scarlett Johansson, who says, “Thanks for jumping on the call,” as Samuel L. Jackson says “I think you mean assembling!” Also on the endorsement call were “Black Panther” star Danai Gurira, Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans.

“It is our pleasure to come together and to get the vote out this election,” says Gurira in the video. As the Avengers try to come up with a catchphrase for Kamala Harris, Gurira suggests, “Kamala Forever.”

Eventually they settle on “I’m Kamala Harris, and I’m down with democracy.” Though it’s doubtful the Vice President will adopt their suggested catchphrase at this point in her campaign, it couldn’t hurt to have some of the world’s most powerful superheroes in your corner.

Harris has previously been endorsed by a number of other celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Carey, Eminem, Andy Cohen, Ben Stiller, Willie Nelson, Cher, Mandy Patinkin, Marc Anthony, Mariska Hargitay, Lizzo, Anne Hathaway, Geraldo Rivera, Neil Young, Poorna Jagannathan, Dave Bautista, Jennifer Lawrence, Billie Eilish and more.

On Oct. 25, Beyoncé appeared at Harris’ rally for reproductive rights at Houston’s Shell Energy Stadium. “We must vote and we need you,” the singer said. “It’s time to sing a new song. A song that began 248 years ago. The old notes of downfall, discord, despair, no longer resonate. Our generations of loved ones before us are whispering a prophecy, a quest, a calling, an anthem. Our moment right now. It’s time for America to sing a new song. Our voices sing a chorus of unity. They sing a song of dignity and opportunity. Are y’all ready to add your voice to the new American song? Because I am. So let’s do this!”

DiCaprio, meanwhile, expressed his support for Harris in a video posted to Instagram on Oct. 25, saying, “Climate change is killing the earth and ruining our economy. We need a bold step forward to save our economy, our planet and ourselves. That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris.”
