The third outing in John Krasinski’s horror franchise has received a new trailer. And for a film in the “Quiet Place” universe, the decibel level is delightfully near deafening.

A Quiet Place: Day One is a prequel of sorts starring Lupita Nyong’o. It takes viewers back to the inciting incident, when faceless alien beasts invaded the planet and revealed an extreme sensitivity to sound — using it to track and find terrified humans and, well, kill them.

Joseph Quinn, Djimon Hounsou and Alex Wolff round out the cast. Nyong’o plays a New Yorker running her daily errands when suddenly the sky is streaked with burning objects coming in for a landing. It’s quickly evident that an invasion has taken place, and much of humanity is not prepared to take on these extraterrestrial predators.

The film is set for a June 27 release across Australasia with Paramount Pictures Presents at the helm.

The new A Quiet Place: Day One trailer drops as another John Krasinski hits cinemas in Australia. His new fantasy comedy IF, an abbreviation for “Imaginary Friends,” follows a young girl who starts seeing imaginary friends that have been abandoned by their originators.

The IF film stars Krasinski, Ryan Reynolds, Cailey Fleming, Fiona Shaw, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Louis Gossett Jr., Emily Blunt, Matt Damon, Maya Rudolph, Jon Stewart, Bobby Moynihan, Sam Rockwell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Christopher Meloni, Richard Jenkins, Awkwafina and Steve Carell, who voices a huge, cuddly purple creature.
