Lucia Hawley has been named as the local host for 7Bravo’s “Live From E!” red carpet events.
7Bravo is the new multi-channel from the Seven Network, borne out of a partnership with NBCUniversal International Networks and Direct-to-Consumer.
The network has said its content offering will target women and “hard-to-reach” demographics, with programs such as “Below Deck Down Under”, “Million Dollar Listing”, “The Real Housewives” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show”.
In addition, the channel will play host to red carpet content from key awards shows courtesy of E!.
Hawley, meanwhile, will attend Australia’s biggest awards shows and fashion events for 7Bravo, bringing audiences interviews with local and visiting celebrities.
The networks said Hawley was no stranger to the red carpet and had already interviewed Australian stars and shared the best fashion trends.
“We are delighted to welcome Lucia Hawley to 7Bravo as the local host and face of red carpet coverage in Australia,” Chris Taylor, the Australia and New Zealand managing director for NBCUniversal International Networks and Direct-to-Consumer and Distribution, said.
“‘Live From E!’ is such an iconic brand that will thrive locally on 7Bravo with Lucia on the red carpet at the biggest events in the country. She brings her intuitive knowledge of the world of show business, coupled with her expertise in fashion, beauty and pop culture to the role, which we know she will take on with drive and passion.”
Hawley said: “I’m incredibly excited to join 7Bravo and front such a respected and loved brand. Growing up around the entertainment industry, I have watched many “Live From E!” red carpets over the years and feel so honoured to be able to bring my passion for style, entertainment and celebrities to the role. To be a part of the 7Bravo family and bring Australian audiences interviews with the brightest stars and red carpet coverage in the country is a dream come true.”
Hawley and L.A.-based Dominic Bowden will also be featured on Bravo New Zealand, which has been delivering content since 2016.
The network also announced Francesca Hung will move on as the local host of “E!” in Australia, to take on other roles including one in a scripted drama series.
Taylor said: “Over the last three years, Francesca has been an integral part of the E! brand in Australia and a respected presence at some of the biggest red-carpet events in the country. Her star continues to rise and we wish her every success in the future as she embarks on the next exciting phase of her journey.”
