Part one of the two-part “Kath and Kim” celebration on Channel 7, “Kath and Kim: Our Effluent Life”, was the No. 1 entertainment program last night.
The show had a metro audience of 786,000. With the addition of regional viewers, this climbed to 1.19 million, and with those watching online on 7Plus, the total became 1.26 million.
It was also the most-watched program in the key advertising demographics of those aged 16 to 39, 18 to 49 and 25 to 54, ahead of Channel 9’s “Lego Masters Bricksmas Special”.
The “Lego Masters” special had 561,000 in the metro markets. It had a further 250,000 in the regions and 36,000 online, taking its total to 847,000.
In addition, Channel 7 also aired the final episode of “Australia’s Got Talent”. It had 541,000 in capital cities, with an overall total of 866,000.
Channel 10 aired “The Graham Norton Show” which had 165,000 metro viewers overnight.
Tonight, the networks will do battle with Channel 9 continuing to air “My Mum, Your Dad“, Channel 10 screening “The Challenge Australia” and Channel 7 continuing its “Kath and Kim” celebrations with “Kath and Kim: 20 Preposterous Years”. The show will take a look behind-the-scenes of the iconic show, including rarely seen footage and goofs from the archives.
