“Devils”, the banking drama starring Alessandro Borghi and Patrick Dempsey, will have its Season 2 premiere on Foxtel’s Binge on April 22.
Two episodes of “Devils” will become available on Binge on April 22. From there, two new episodes of the eight-episode drama will drop every Friday.
“Devils” is a Sky Original series produced by Sky Italia, Lux Vide and Big Light Productions in collaboration with Sky Studios, Orange Studios and OCS. NBCUniversal Global Distribution handles international sales on behalf of Sky Studios.
Season 2 is directed by Nick Hurran (“Sherlock”) and Jan Maria Michelini (“I Medici”), with writing from Frank Spotnitz (“Leonardo”), James Dormer (“Strike Back”), Caroline Henry (“Doctor Who”) and Naomi Gibney. Guido Maria Brera authored the series’ format.
“Devils” Season 2 has fragments of reality interwoven with fictional characters. It continues the story of the “silent yet devastating” finance war that has been affecting the Western world over the past decade.
This season is set in 2016, with Brexit just around the corner and Trump vying for the U.S. presidency.
Massimo Ruggero (Borghi) in this season is pursuing a policy of pro-Chinese acquisitions in his position as CEO of New-York London Investment Bank, bringing in new investors and team members from China.
His old mentor Dominic Morgan (Dempsey), however, reappears to warn him that the new Chinese partners are ready to betray him and wage a silent war between China and the U.S. for the technological control of the data of millions of people.
The returning cast also includes Malachi Kirby (“Small Axe”, “Curfew”), Pia Mechler (“Everything Is Wonderful”), Paul Chowdhry (“Live at the Apollo”) and Lars Mikkelsen (“The Killing”).
