The AACTA Award ceremonies will celebrate and honour the creatives behind the best films, TV, and digital entertainment from the past year, acknowledging the achievements of Australia’s best productions and brightest screen practitioners.
The Awards will be presented across two in-room ceremonies on Monday, Dec. 5 and Wednesday, Dec. 7 at The Hordern in Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter, home of Disney Studios.
Damian Trewhella said Australia’s screen practitioners are among the best in the world.
“We are very proud to be able to recognise these screen practitioners here in Australia and highlight the strength and importance of their role in our local industry,” he said.
“Celebrating these creatives, and the work they do, is paramount in promoting our industry to the next generation of creatives and helps to fulfil current labour shortages. As pioneers of Technical Craft awards, the AACTA Awards serves to stimulate the growth of this sector, and we look forward to honouring our incredible industry in December.”
Brian Walsh, executive director of drama and senior content consultant for the Foxtel Group, added: “The craft awards are essential as it is the creative minds and diverse skills of these artists that make the Australian film and television industry so strong. Massive congratulations to all nominated artists and a heartfelt thank you for your endless contribution to our creative industry.”
The documentary and short film nominees were announced earlier this year.
